Are you a photographer that shoots time-lapse sequences with your digital
still camera? Is the footage outstanding and you're looking for a market
for your work? If so, we'd love to see it.
At TimeLapse Digital we believe that digital still cameras are revolutionizing
the timelapse field. The resolution and qualtity of these cameras rival
35mm so why would you want to tie up a movie camera or setttle for the
lower resolutions of video when you can capture breathtaking sequences
with a variety of digital still cameras.
We're looking for all kinds of timelapse from all regions of North America
and beyond. Don't be concerned that your footage doesn't fit one of our
categories; Timelapse Digital's site is continually growing and we'll
expand our catergories to fit your footage.
Here are the general guidelines:
•Footage needs to be shot on a 5 megapixel or larger camera, unless
the footage is exceptionally interesting or rare. Your images must be
shot at the highest quality JPEG that your camera can produce or RAW and
the resolution must be greater than 1920 by 1080 so that the footage can
be marketed to the high definition market.
•The footage must be shot on a tripod, motion control rig or camera
mount if the shot is moving on a vehicle, etc. Your footage must be rock
solid, beautifully composed and properly exposed.
•You have to have the full legal right to license it as stock footage.
•Close-ups of people don't typically make for interesting time-lapse
subjects and should be avoided. However, if any person is recognizable
in the sequence we require that signed releases from all recognizable
persons appearing in the footage be kept on file in our offices.
•To submit your footage you can either generate high qualtity quicktimes
and put them on disk or submit folders of images that we can turn into
sequences for evaluation. This must be done at your expense but we will
return your submission if requested. Or let us know when you've got a demo sequence ready for viewing and we'll give you access to our FTPsite to upload.
•If your footage is accepted you will earn royalties everytime
your clips are sold. We do a 50/50 split with our contributors, paying
promptly when the customers pays their invoice.
